Economic Gardening coming to Region

We are pleased to announce that thanks to a grant from USDA we will be offering Economic gardening in the Promise Zone counties!

Those counties included in our service region include:  Clinton, Jackson, McCreary, Rockcastle, Russell, Wayne and Whitley Counties.

We have two key services that we will be offering this fall to clients of our SBDC Center. 

New SBA Loan Guidelines

Effective July 1, 2014 SBA lenders no longer have to perform an analysis of cash flow or debt-service coverage on loans of $350,000 or less, eliminating two requirements.

 Using the new SBA scoring tool, banks are now incentive to underwrite more small-dollar loans and reduce the time needed to originate a small-dollar loan by as much as 50 percent.

Rainey, a native of Winchester, is no stranger to helping small businesses of the region succeed. Nor, as a business owner himself, is he unfamiliar with the travails that go with the job.

Amanda Lawrence is the new Outreach Coordinator for Eastern Kentucky University's College of Business and Technology.

As part of her role, Amanda will be working with employers in business to create Cooperative Education/Internship experiences for students.
