Partnering Clients with EKU classes and students

One of the great benefits of being located on EKU's campus and working in partnership with them is the vast resources the university environment can offer.

We have two key services that we will be offering this fall to clients of our SBDC Center.

First, we will offer an opportunity to pair up businesses that are interested in specific assistance that our students can assist with.  This could include as an example a Marketing class, which would offer to have a student work group spend a semester working on a professional marketing plan for your business or a management class analyzing your organization.

This type of partnership with our Faculty in the College of Business & Technology is a win/win opportunity as it gives our students valuable experience and it assists you in moving your business forward.

Second, our office will continue to work in partnership with Amanda Lawrence, Outreach Coordinator for the College of Business & Technology, to help businesses obtain co-op opportunities and internships.  I have already had a number of local businesses seeking students to work in these internship arrangements and we are excited to have the students back in a few weeks and get them plugged in on these opportunities.  This is another win/win for the business owner and our students.

Contact me or Amanda Lawrence at for more information if you are seeking students for Co-ops or Internships with our business.
