Michael Rodriguez: June 4, 1966 - February 25, 2014
It is with great sadness that we inform you of the untimely passing of Michael Rodriguez, Director of the EKU Small Business Development Center in the College of Business & Technology’s Center for Economic Development, Entrepreneurship & Technology. He leaves behind a wife, Teresa and a son, Timothy.
All of us really appreciated Michael’s professionalism, good spirits, sense of humor, and competence. He was a great colleague who made a difference in the lives of those he touched through his work with the SBDC. During the past two years, Michael was awarded the highest honor by the statewide SBDC for being the most productive regional SBDC director in Kentucky. His efforts were instrumental in helping future business men and women begin their new ventures, assisting existing businesses to become more successful, and improving economic development throughout the 15 counties served by the EKU SBDC from its offices in Richmond and Somerset. Michael’s work lead to the creation of many new jobs throughout the EKU SBDC service region.
We will all miss Michael and his positive impact on everyone who knew him. We extend our sincerest condolences and sympathy to Teresa and Timothy. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
